Problems: None. Bought this camera for myself, and LOVE it! It's a great camera for the price. If you're a professional photographer.. This does more than I need it for though. I did buy one for my mom since I was so happy with it, and apparently she got a lemon. I wasn't aware of the problems until it was too late to take back, but hers sucks big time. I just bought this last night I am a prof photographer and I wanted to mention a few things I like right away.. You can turn the flash off and it remembers that the next time you turn it on.
Carl Zeiss lens. I returned my L11 after shooting 7 images with it.. Has a small viewfinder so you do not have to use the LCD. Most of those are gone now and most are battery hogs.. I've been using this camera for almost a year, I love it.
I paid entry level price for S and get mid-range quality for the pictures. Very good camera for that price. No complain at all. This is compact camera that takes good pictures but has some annoying characteristics. I liked the optical viewfinder which is not so common on small cameras and the AA batteries. Note: for great battery life get some non-rechargeable lithium batteries. Problems: Impossibly long focusing times indoors were infuriating as no subject was going to be frozen until the camera locked-on.
Outdoors, focusing was quite rapid. Uploading the images to a computer brought unusual problems. If you It is the same cam except they are similar in price but the W50 has better features.
