Office of Assessment and Accountability The Michigan Department of Education Office of Assessment and Accountability has information about statewide assessments for all students. Students with a disability should participate in the general education assessments to the greatest extent possible.
MI-Access MI-Access is Michigan's alternate assessment system designed for students who have, or function as if they have, cognitive impairments. The individualized education program team determines if MI-Access assessments are the most appropriate.
